Chartered Financial Planner/Directorask Lee
Lee has over 30 years experience in the Financial Services Industry. He joined Williams Financial Planning Ltd in January 2005.
Lee has considerable expertise in many areas of financial planning including inheritance tax planning, trust and tax planning and international investments.
Lee is a qualified Chartered Financial Planner, the highest of the Chartered Insurance Institute’s financial planning qualifications, and a qualified Pension Transfer Specialist. He also graduated with BA Hons from the University of Wales.
Lee lives in Dodleston with his wife and children. In his leisure time, Lee is a keen sports fan, a lifelong supporter of Aston Villa and is still trying to master playing the guitar.
Independent Financial Adviser/Directorask Richard
Richard has 26 years’ experience in the Financial Services Industry, providing bespoke advice to both business and personal clients. His vast experience means he fully understands the issues and constraints when managing personal and Trust wealth. He prides himself on helping clients achieve their financial goals.
Managing the business on a daily basis Richard understands the issues faced by small business owners and is ideally placed to provide advice to corporate clients.
Living in Wrexham with his wife and two children, Richard is a qualified coach and referee at Wrexham Rugby club. A keen cyclist and charity fundraiser Richard can often be found lycra-clad in training for his next challenge.
Independent Financial Adviserask Emyr
Emyr has worked for Williams since October 2013 as an Independent Financial Adviser. Emyr previously worked at Midland Bank/HSBC where he worked for 28 years initially in banking then as a financial adviser, 13 years of which was as an Independent Financial Adviser.
In his spare time Emyr is a keen Wales rugby fan, and also a walker – he is currently working to complete the Wales Coastal Path. So far he has managed around 450 of the 980 miles and hopes to complete the challenge by the end of 2019.
Insurance & Protection Adviserask Carol
Before joining Williams in 2012, Carol worked as a Financial Planning Manager for NatWest and has also worked in Private and Business Banking. Carol works closely with clients to understand their needs and provide advice in all aspects of personal, business and group protection. Carol expertly guides clients ensuring the best protection solution is achieved whilst representing our high standards and ethical approach. A keen rugby fan (and rugby Mum!), outside of work Carol enjoys walking her Border Collie Riley, reading and socialising with friends.
Trainee Independent Adviserask Daniel
After completing his degree in Criminology and traveling the East Coast of Australia Dan joined Williams Financial Planning in 2016 and began his progression to become an Independent Financial Adviser.
In the autumn of 2017 Dan passed his Diploma in regulated financial planning exams, accredited by the CII. In his spare time Dan is a keen sportsman and has recently began learning to play the guitar. Dan has a long list of places to travel but top of his bucket list is the Kawarau Bungee Jump in New Zealand.

Client Relationship Managerask Kate
After graduating from Liverpool John Moores University in 2007 with a BA Hons in History, Kate then began her career in the financial services industry and has gained a varied wealth of knowledge and experience. Kate joined WFP in April 2017 and is always on hand to help with any questions or queries.
Outside of work Kate enjoys spending time with her friends and family and is usually found in the gym most evenings. Kate successfully completes many local charity challenges from 5 & 10k runs to Tough Mudder obstacle courses.
We welcomed Karen to our administration team in April 2018, after working for a local training company she brings a wealth of administrative experience to our organisation. Karen holds a level 4 Diploma in Business Administration and is keen to further her skills and knowledge in financial services.
Outside of work Karen enjoys spending valuable time with her husband and their two young children. Overseas travel is her passion and one day she hopes to take her family to visit her sister who lives in Australia.
Nicola has worked for Williams Financial Planning for 3 years, having previously worked for HSBC Bank for 16 years, as a Senior Premier Relationship Manager, Nicola gained vast experience and an in-depth knowledge of the Financial Services Industry. She now utilises these client relationship skills providing instrumental administrative support to Emyr and his clients.
Outside of work Nicola enjoys spending time with her 6 year old son Joseph and partner Frank, they are often found exploring the great outdoors and visiting her brother who lives out in Spain.
Lourdes da Silva
Lourdes has worked in financial services since leaving college, she joined WFP in 2010 and brings many years of administration experience from her previous roles. Lourdes specialises in investments and attention to detail is one of her many strengths, providing excellent support to our clients.
She likes to spend time with her husband and their dog Millie, long walks in the countryside are usually part of her weekend plans. Lourdes also has a keen interest in conservation and often gives up her spare time to help with a number of wildlife charities.
Pensions Development Managerask Lynne
Lynne joined Williams Financial Planning in August 2017, previously she was employed by Wrexham County Council in a number of various roles for over 41 years, laterly as Payroll / Pensions Manager. Lynne works closely with our advisory team and provides excellent support with her knowledge of defined benefit pension schemes.
Outside of work Lynne enjoys DIY and gardening and her favourite pastime is buying shoes! Lynne likes to travel and has been lucky to see many amazing countries however, the top of her bucket list is to travel all of the world.
Office Managerask Karen
Karen graduated from Liverpool John Moores University with a BSc in Quantity Surveying and began a career in the construction industry, before joining Williams Financial Planning in 2003. Karen heads up the Williams admin team as the office manager, as well as dealing with IT and back office systems to ensure that all client and firm deadlines are met through efficient use of our database systems.
When she’s not providing a free taxi service to her teenage son, Karen enjoys socialising with family and friends and has a long travel list.
Pensions Supervisorask Tim
Tim has a wealth of experience after working for Independent Financial Advisers for 18 years, he has been part of the Williams Team for over 10 years and heads up the Pension department. Tim speciailises in SIPP Property purchases and has a keen interest in all things pension related.
Outside of work Tim enjoys spending time with his wife and their 8 year old daughter who keeps them busy! Tim enjoys the odd game of football and walking, both activities usually ending with a visit to the pub.
