Planning is really important!

We all have dreams, ambitions and goals. Our financial plans are designed to help you realise those dreams, focusing on what you want to do along with how and when you want to do it.

The starting point is to understand you, your values, aspirations, hopes and principles. Knowing your motivations and passions allows us to help you make great choices about your finances, leaving you feeling confident and with a greater peace of mind.

*The value of your investment can go down as well as up and you may not get back the full amount invested.

It is our role as an IFA to help you choose the right investments in order to help you meet your objectives.

This means agreeing your financial goals and what you want to achieve by investing.

For example:
• are you just looking to grow your money?
• are you looking to provide an income now or in the future?
• how much can you afford to invest?
• how long do you want to invest for?

We would all like investments that offer high returns but are safe, in the sense that they cannot fail. This ideal combination is not available and beware anyone who claims otherwise. How you invest will also depend on your attitude to risk and return. Broadly speaking, the longer your investment is to be left alone, a higher level of reward can be sought. With this, however, will come short term risk and ups and downs in the value of your investment. If however, the money is needed in full in the near future (e.g. for a house deposit) then short term safety is essential and investment risk should not be taken.

We will help you determine an investment strategy appropriate for your needs and use the investments best suited to your attitude to risk and returns and to your tax position.

Pensions are long term savings plans which provide income and capital in retirement.

Although there are several different types of pension schemes available, they are all a tax efficient way to save for your retirement.

The starting point is to know how much of a pension you will get when you retire. Will it be enough for your needs and will it to allow you to enjoy the retirement you want? We all know it is important to plan for retirement, but many of us are still not planning well enough.

We can assist with all aspects of pension and retirement planning and help you shape your retirement plans to best meet your individual needs and circumstances.

Many small to medium sized firms are too busy running the business to have time to consider financial planning.

Very often we will insure the fabric, fixtures and fittings of our business but forget to insure the irreplaceable people that run the business and generate the profits.

No one likes to think about the worst but what would happen if you, your business, partner, or a key employee died or was seriously ill and unable to work? Could your business survive? What impact would it have on profits and the value of your business?

Our protection plans ensure that your company remains stable in such difficult and uncertain circumstances.

Many people pay too much tax, or miss out on opportunities to reduce their tax.

The Financial Conduct Authority does not regulate taxation and trust advice.

If you have investments, pay higher rate income tax, or run your own business, you should have your position reviewed.

We can advise you on how to make your financial strategy more tax efficient, depending on your individual financial situation. Income tax, Inheritance Tax and Estate Planning are all important areas which should be assessed.
